Plating Tank Liners

Lip/Flange: A lip/flange is the upper part of the tank on the top, outside portion that typically all tanks have

Turn-Down: Another portion on the outside of the tank, that turns downward past the lip. A turn-down is typically an anchoring method using liner clips, c-clamps, and or bolts.

Protective Skirt: Added or really doubled-up material near the air and liquid interaction zone. Protective skirts offer longer life in applications where temperatures and violent reactions occur. Skirts typically are  made of the same tank liner material, however in applications with extreme conditions, other more exotic plastics can be utilized such as PVDF, PFA, and TEFLON.

Grommets: Made from Stainless Steel, our grommets are also manufactured in America. Grommets are used for securing the drop-in liner to the support structure it is made for, with polypropylene rope ran through them to cinch the drop-in liner.

Compression/Batten Strips: Compression strips are another form of securing the drop-in liner to the support structure. They are typically used when the tank has a flange or studs to attach to. The liner is hole-punched when fully installed and the compression strip is placed over and secured with a nut, this is done for the entire tanks upper perimeter to secure the drop-in liner.

Double Bottom: Double bottoms are utilized when the customer has common occurrences of high heat at the bottom of the tank, or more commonly, something falls out. Double bottoms are utilized to absorb the initial impact the material may face.

Lifting Tabs: Lifting tabs are added loops to the drop-in liner for ease of install when a spreader bar is utilized, or even to help just support the liner during installation.

V-Bottom or Chambered: V-Bottom or even chambered tank liners are the irregularly configured tanks with multiple “units” or “zones” but all interconnected. While uncommon, it is an occurrence for FLSI and we would be more than happy to assess the scope of your project.
